We’re seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join our team and lead our mission of nurturing lifelong learners across Indonesia. As Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of the company within the education sector. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with key stakeholders, and managing strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the education industry, market trends, and the ability to create tailored solutions to meet the needs of clients, schools, and educational institutions.

What You Will Be Doing

  1. Identify New Business Opportunities:
    • Research and identify potential business opportunities, partnerships, and new markets within the education sector.
    • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to develop strategies that increase market share.
  2. Develop and Manage Strategic Partnerships:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in schools, universities, educational institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Partner with internal teams (marketing, sales, and product development) to execute strategies that align with the company’s growth goals.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners to secure favourable terms.
  3. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct research to stay updated on educational trends, technological advancements, and competitors.
    • Identify gaps in the market and create business plans to capitalise on emerging opportunities.
  4. Developing Proposals and Business Plans:
    • Prepare comprehensive business proposals, including market research, financial analysis, and partnership opportunities.
    • Present proposals and business plans to senior management and key stakeholders for approval.

Your Profile

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Marketing, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the education sector.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of the education industry and its key drivers.
    • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and closing deals.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders.
    • Analytical thinking and the ability to identify market opportunities.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience and Knowledge in the Education Sector:Prior experience working in or with educational institutions, such as schools, universities, or EdTech companies.
  • Existing Network in the Education Sector:Established relationships with key decision-makers in schools, universities, government bodies, or corporate training departments.
  • International Experience:Experience working with international clients, education systems, or global business development.
  • Sales Experience in Complex Solutions: Experience selling complex services or solutions (e.g., multi-year education programs, enterprise-level EdTech solutions).
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple business development projects simultaneously, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
